How Can We Grow New Plants?
Plants can grow from different parts of a parent plant. We can grow a new plant from leaves, stems, and roots.
There are different types of techniques through which we can grow a plant. These techniques include budding, rooting, and grafting, etc. Each technique helps in producing healthy and strong new plants.
🌸 Budding
Budding is a technique where a bud from one plant is inserted into another plant. This method is used to grow plants with better flowers and fruits. For example, rose plants and citrus plants are often grown by budding.
🌱 Rooting
Rooting is the process of growing a new plant from a small part of a stem or leaf placed in soil or water. Roots begin to develop from that part, forming a new plant. This is common in plants like money plant and hibiscus.
🌿 Grafting
Grafting is a technique where the stem of one plant is joined with another plant so they grow together as one. It helps in combining the qualities of two plants, such as strong roots and good fruit yield. Mango and rose plants are commonly grown using grafting.
